Cities deliver the daily experience of urban living. Great urban design can deliver the opportunity to celebrate the "glory of cities". As stated by Richard Rogers a modern city should be... "a dense and many-centred city, a city of easy contact, an equitable city, an open city and not least, a beautiful city in which urban art, architecture and landscape can move and satisfy the human spirit."
